Mission Statement
Our practice works together to realize a shared vision of uncompromising excellence in dentistry.
To fulfill this mission, we are committed to:
- Listening to those whom we are privileged to serve
- Earning the trust and respect of patients, profession, and community
- Exceeding your expectations
- Ensuring a creative, challenging, and compassionate professional environment
- Striving for continuous improvement at all levels.
Continued improvement and education is one of our main goals. Education in prevention, treatment of dental disease, and support will be part of the environment in this, your child’s dental home. We consider ourselves as part of “the village” that it takes to raise a child. Dr. Hernandez speaks both Spanish and English.
An Interdisciplinary Approach
Dr. Hernandez takes the time to assess her patients’ anatomical development and, in many instances, is able to detect abnormalities or irregularities such as malocclusion, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, developmental deficiencies, and many other physical or mental conditions that perhaps the pediatrician has not been able to detect because the pediatric dentist tends to see the patients more frequently.
As a medical specialist in the maxillofacial complex, she then refers the child to the appropriate specialist. She does not hesitate to call the family physician or to refer the patient to another specialist to ensure the patient’s medical records are inclusive of discoveries and appropriate assessments are arranged.
Special Needs Care
Pediatric dentists are the specialist in dentistry with training that allows them to address children's special oral needs and provide the best care possible. Special or unique cases that Dr. Hernandez treats their dentition include autism, mentally challenged children, endocrine diseases, psychiatric disorders, cancers, and developmental disorders—in summary, all medical problems that children present.
It takes time and compassion to attend to children with special needs. Dr. Hernandez and her team make the time and will not compromise the needs of the child for the adherence of a busy daily schedule.
